Sage Serrano is an artist native to San Diego, CA. She received her MFA in Art from San Diego State University and her BA in Visual Arts Studio with honors from UC San Diego. For her, drawing is a meditative process that helps her recollect and reflect on personal experiences and memories. Her research is a culmination of drawing and paper experimentations, exploring line, the body, play, and collecting. Serrano has extensive knowledge and experience  in various bookbinding, papermaking, and paper folding techniques. Her artist books are held in special collections and she has exhibited her drawings in various exhibitions across the United States and internationally. She is currently a visiting lecturer at Point Loma Nazarene University and a lecturer at San Diego State University, where she teaches drawing, two-dimensional design, life drawing, and book arts. Serrano also teaches bookmaking, papermaking, and decorative paper workshops at libraries, high schools, colleges and universities across California.
